AD510-1 Passive Iridium Antenna
The AD510-1 is a rugged passive Iridium antenna designed to operate in harsh environments. The antenna’ s radome is 4 mm thick GRP and the base is milled from aluminium and hard anodised to give a green finish that is mechanically resilient and resistant to corrosion.
The AD510-1 has a RHCP radiation pattern over the Iridium band and should be mounted to give an unobstructed view of the sky from horizon to horizon. The bracket ( AD510-2) provided with each antenna can be attached to a mast or spar up to 60mm in diameter using the V-bolts provided. Connection to the Iridium handset is made with an appropriate coaxial cable from the TNC ( or optional N type connector) on the underside of the antenna. An optional PVC mounting bracket with 1" diameter 14TPI pipe thread is also available.
